Methane recovery trailer (mobile, without electrical system)

Methane recovery trailer (mobile, without electrical system)

Natural gas recovery (classic mechanical): mobile recovery unit for off-grid locations

In many country-site or hard-to-reach areas, there is often no electrical power supply available for network repairs or maintenance work – this is exactly where Maximator comes in with a power-independent version of its methane recovery trailer.

This mobile solution, originally developed for helium applications, can now also be used for methane. It is designed to operate without an external power source while still enabling high recovery performance – flexible, robust, and practical.

Typical areas of application

Typical areas of application

  • Repair work on distribution stations and valve panels in remote or non-electrified locations
  • Temporary blow-off points in rural areas (e.g., for field lines)
  • Maintenance in emergencies or special situations without infrastructure connection
Special features

Special features

  • Fully mobile unit, designed for transport on trailers
  • Operated by Maximator nitrogen-powered compressors – no external power supply required
  • Planned and targeted methane recovery
  • Designed for self-sufficient operation with rapid deployment
  • Includes ATEX certification
  • System ready for use with hydrogen
  • Up to 40% reduced consumption of N2 as a drive fluid through the use of Maximator's patented FlexDrive-Technology
Status & further development

Status & further development

  • Technology tested in the helium sector – now also available for methane
  • Compact, modular, and durable, also suitable for harsh environments

With this non-electric version, Maximator is expanding its methane recovery solutions with a highly flexible system for off-grid applications – ideal for operators who do not want to compromise on climate protection, recovery, and supply security.
